IL Mercato del “Porcellino”

in Florence heralds a wild boar whose snout is kept perpetually shiny by enamoured
tourists who, for the desire to return, make a wish and touch the bronze. Sculptor
Pietro Tacca created the fountain-piece in 1634. Making wishes and working towards that dream oftentimes lead to history-making results!
