real reasons

Somewhere in between the push for private profits in all-things-public and
the reality of where the public exists lies an immutable truth. We are people
who need to be ‘entertained’ and whose sights are focused, indeed obsessed
with that culture. When ‘one party dwindles’, there is nothing but the sight of
another party on the horizon. When one ‘vacation’ finishes, we discuss little else but plan for the next one. How many potentially meaningful moments dissipate into nothingness between one party and another…between one vacation and another? How many opportunities for making change, changing lives and improving crumble while we are focusing exclusively on the next leisure experience? Consider this as one real reason in response to outcries about ‘failure’….
