An Italian tradition

An Italian tradition

La Befana – the Christmas witch!
She brings gifts on the eve of Epiphany to good children – (candy, oranges, sweet treats) or
coal to those who haven’t followed the good path. At St. Brigid’s parish on
Long Island, an Italian mini-drama is staged for parishioners that bridges Christmas and Epiphany. Some traditions can be well-worth conserving!
