I have nothing but contempt for the kind of governor who is afraid, for whatever reason, to follow the course that he knows is best for the State; and as for the man who sets private friendship above the public welfare — I have no use for him either.
And so the United States government shuts down leaving the public welfare to fend for itself and to “hell” with the public anyway. Rhetoric has succeeded in being unveiled from its disguised perch of “exceptionalism” by joining the ranks of every other self-serving governing body on this first of October 2013. Stocks will plummet, furloughs will be issued, but those who serve themselves as “leaders” will profit while those they lead to destruction will suffer and yet again attempt to rebuild their lives when these winds pass. He who lives by the dollar, dies by the dollar. As time passes, watch carefully who profits.
